Account Assistant

Emerson Schmidt joined McNeely Brockman Public Relations as an account assistant in July 2026 after graduating from Tennessee Technological University, where she earned her master’s degree in business administration and bachelor’s degree in marketing.

During her time at Tennessee Tech, Emerson was an active member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Delta Gamma Sorority, where she served as secretary and vice president of communications, respectively.

She was also a graduate assistant for the College of Business and worked as a marketing student worker in the Student Engagement Office, gaining skills in digital marketing, social media strategy, campaign coordination and media relations.

Emerson has previously interned at Sheridan Public Relations, where she assisted with drafting press releases, pitching media and creating social media content. During her time in Cookeville, Tenn., she helped local restaurant, The Putnam Room, transform their social media presence by leading a rebranding campaign and all content creation.

In her free time, Emerson enjoys reading, playing with her dog and photography. She loves being able to capture the feelings of joy and love from a moment.
