Mary Ruth joined MBPR in 2025 after spending 23 years at MP&F Strategic Communications, where she led award-winning national and regional campaigns while supporting the management and growth of the agency. Throughout her career, she has partnered with organizations across federal and local government, tourism, hospitality, education, real estate, and other industries, helping clients navigate complex communications challenges, launch new initiatives and strengthen their brands.
A longtime advocate for the communications profession, Mary Ruth is a past president of Public Relations Society of America’s Nashville chapter, served as co-chair of PRSA National’s conference host committee and is a member of PRSA’s Counselors Academy. She has been recognized with PRSA Nashville’s Olympus Award for leadership and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Leader Award for Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing.
Mary Ruth is active in Williamson, Inc., where she has served on the steering committee for Women in Business and the member engagement committee, and she is a graduate of Leadership Brentwood. She earned her degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
A Tennessee native, Mary Ruth grew up in Lebanon and now lives in Brentwood with her husband, Chad, and their three children. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her children at the ballfield and spending time with her family at the beach.
